During the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic, Smiles Foundation, in collaboration with Whitefield Rising and Biocon Foundation, established a dedicated COVID care centre for the city’s police force. Recognizing the vital role that police officers played in enforcing lockdowns, managing public order, and ensuring the safety of citizens, the centre was specifically set up to cater to their health needs. Inaugurated by Police Commissioner Mr. Kamal Pant on April 30, 2021, the centre provided essential medical care and support to the police personnel for three months. This initiative highlighted the commitment of Smiles Foundation and its partners to support frontline workers during an unprecedented public health crisis.
